New Years Eve Outfit 2016

Better late than never with an outfit post. I fell in love with this dress from Lipsy London when I spotted it in store. It's a very glamorous dress with the gold details on the front. I decided to pair it with a gold bag and jewelry and a smokey eye with a pop of gold glitter. Very NYE appropriate!

Face of the day: Bright Orange eyes

I began doing my normal makeup routine, the standard light brown in the crease, mascara, bitta contour, when I said, feck that, I need to do something more interesting, this is far too boring. The last while I've been lacking makeup inspiration and just sticking to my standard minimal makeup routine. But at the same time it can be hard to go all out with the glitter and bright colours when your makeup has to be work appropriate. So let's save it for the weekend and go all out then! Here's what I came up with...

Products Used:

Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Palette
Inglot No. 77 Gel liner
Mac pigment in Rushmetal
Nyx Liquid Crystal Liner
Lancome Hypnose Stardust Golden Top Coat
Essence Get Big Lashes
Nyx Jumbo eye pencil in Milk
Sleek Brow Kit in Dark
Flormar single eyeshadow E10

I hope you enjoyed, any questions comment below or get in touch on social media.

Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette Review and Swatches*

A new palette which is just new on the shelves this month is the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette (€46.)  the palette includes fifteen eyeshadows with 12 new shades in a compact palette. It’s such a great palette filled with mostly warm-toned neutrals in light and medium shades. The palette contains many essential colours such as a cream highlight colour, mid toned brown, deep brown and black shades. The palette also has some vibrant shades for some more adventurous, bright, Gwen Stefani style makeup looks. Gwen Stefani worked with Urban Decay to create an eyeshadow palette full of all the shades she always wished she had in her makeup collection.  The names of the colours are also very personal to Gwen Stefani.

In terms of eyeshadow quality and colour pay off, you can't get much better than Urban Decay. The brand are well known for their great quality products. There is amazing colour pay off from the shimmer and glitter shades but not as much payoff from the matte shades. This is standard with most eyeshadows, the matte shades are essential blending colours for any look. I love to use the neutral colours to create a more natural makeup look for work.

Overall it's an amazing palette and well worth the investment. It has both neutral shades for more work appropriate looks and some bold shades for a night out. This palette is Limited Edition so grab it while you can! This beauty is available from Debenhams Ireland or the Urban Decay website

Here is a look I created with the palette.
